  • For FEMA assistance, register at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362)The FEMA cutoff date for affected resident's to register for assistance is July 28, 2015.
  • For information on available assistance from state and local health and human service programs call 2-1-1 or (877) 541-7905 or visit www.211texas.org.
  • To talk with a City of Garland representative, call 972-205-2000.
  • To request cleanup assistance, call the Crisis Cleanup Hotline at 1-800-451-1954.
  • For insurance information and assistance, call the State Department of Insurance (TDI) at 1-800-252-3439 or the National Flood Insurance Office at 1-800-638-6620 ext. 407.
  • For information on low-interest federal disaster assistance loans that are available to impacted homeowners, renters, businesses, and private/non-profit organizations whose property was damaged by the flooding contact the Small Business Administration (SBA) at 1-800-366-6303, 1-800-659-2955, or TDD 1-817-267- 4688.
  • Assistance for the elderly population, such as transportation to and from Disaster Recovery Center's, is available from the Office on Aging at 1-800-582-5233.
  • To speak with a trained Crisis Counselor call the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWishUs to 66746.
