A block party is an exciting opportunity for residents within a neighborhood to meet one another, foster community pride, share ideas, increase awareness of neighborhood goals and just have fun! Below are some helpful reminders and forms to guide you as you plan your upcoming neighborhood block party.
The ONV offers various assistance to registered neighborhood groups. The Block Party Trailer is available to both mandatory and voluntary neighborhood groups. If you are a voluntary neighborhood association registered with our office, you may qualify for the Capacity Building Grant. Funding is limited. Please email Neighborhoods@GarlandTX.gov or call 972-205-2445 for more information.
Various City departments may be available to make a special appearance at your block party, so please contact the ONV to make arrangements at least four weeks in advance.
The City of Garland, Office of Neighborhood Vitality (ONV) is thrilled to provide this Block Party Trailer (BPT) as a resource to Garland neighborhoods when building community through block parties! Registered neighborhood groups may reserve this trailer free of charge based on availability. Check here to see if your neighborhood group is registered.
