On this day in 1974 the Garland Landmark Museum was dedicated. The museum's original location was behind City Hall at Museum Plaza. Currently, it is at Walnut and Sixth Streets in Heritage Crossing.

Babies, birth to 18 months, and their caregivers will learn, play, and grow together in this lap-sit storytime that introduces books, rhymes, tickles, and bounces designed to incorporate early literacy practices into their everyday lives.
Toddler Time is a storytime for children ages 18 months to 3 years old. Toddler Time storytimes will be a mixture of age appropriate stories, songs, rhymes, flannelboard stories, crafts, and parachute play.
Each month families can gather to have fun exploring books together through a light book discussion and related activities.
Participation in library computer classes is free and open to adult Garland residents.
Meeting once a week, this interactive conversation group is geared toward improving every day skills in a casual setting.
