The Garland Parks & Recreation Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Garland Youth Council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
At 6 p.m., there will be an open house where residents can visit interactive booths for City departments. Talk with staff about projects and services and ask any questions you may have. From 7 to 7:30 p.m., Mayor Scott LeMay will deliver his State of the City address, updating residents on the achievements and accomplishments of last year and talking about what’s in store for 2024. Mayor LeMay will also present his annual Make Your Mark award honoring an individual or organization making a positive difference in Garland.
The Environmental & Community Advisory Board meets the second Wednesday of each month to review, develop and recommend new environmental and neighborhood related projects to the City Council.
The Community Multicultural Commission meets at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.
