The Public Utility Commission recently ended the statewide moratorium on all utility non-pay disconnects that has been in effect since Feb. 21. The Customer Service Department will resume normal operations concerning utility disconnects for both electric and water Monday, July 5.
The City of Garland will continue to work with customers prior to a potential non-pay interruption in service(s) and strongly encourages those needing assistance to contact Utility Customer Service at 972-205-2671 or CustServ@GarlandTX.gov to discuss their situation. Include the service address and account number in any correspondence.
