Recycle Beyond the Bin


Visit Recycle Row for a no-fee opportunity to recycle nontraditional materials. Recycle Row is open to non-residents.

Outdoor Recycle Row (Opens at 9 a.m.)

The following items will be collected at the outdoor recycling stations:

Batteries — Collected and recycled by Batteries Plus Bulbs (no alkaline batteries).

Document Shredding — (Limit 4 boxes per vehicle) Secure on-site shredding by Balcones Shred.

Household — Clothing, shoes, books, small electrics and appliances, children's clothing, dishes, CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes, home decor, kitchenware, toys and games. Collected by Goodwill Industries

Durable Medical Goods — Walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, bath chairs, etc. Collected by Comfort Keepers.

Indoor Recycle Row

The following items will be collected at the indoor recycling stations:

Eyeglasses — Prescription, non-prescription and reading glasses. Collected by Lions Club.

Medications — Unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. Collected by Garland Police Department.

Cooking oil, fats & grease — Must be in closed container, preferably plastic. Collected by Garland Wastewater & Industrial Pretreatment.
