Economic Development

Garland's strong national and regional economic position stems from the collaboration among Garland's key economic development partners.  The Garland Economic Development Partnership (GEDP) -- a consortium of the Chamber, City, and GISD -- concentrates on the start-up, growth, and attraction of strategic businesses.  Follow the link for information on: GEDP

As part of its role in the Partnership, the City has put in place a policy framework.  The overall policy calls for targeting business and real estate investment into strategic geographic areas in a way that rejuvenates the City’s urban form.  View more information on the City's policy framework, market analysis, infrastructure, and strategic investment areas.
