| Expo Activities - Plan Ahead
|
Plan ahead to contribute to a healthier community by donating and recycling several items on site. You can bring electronics, gently used athletic shoes, eyeglasses, outdated or unused medications, and personal documents to be shredded. You can also register for a free composting class or adopt a new pet from the City of Garland Animal Shelter.

Adopt A Pet - Are you ready to add a furry friend to your family? Volunteers from Garland Pawsabilities will be on site with adoptable animals from the City of Garland Animal Shelter.
|

Donate Athletic Shoes - The Shoe Bank will accept used children's shoes and men's and women's athletic shoes to be given to recipients around the world. Please tie or band the shoes in pairs before dropping them off.

|
Eyeglasses Recycling - Drop off your old eyeglasses. The Lions Club will use them to bring the gift of sight to people around the world.
|
|
Paper Shredding - Greenstar Recycling will accept personal documents for shredding. Acceptable materials include bank records, file folders and junk mail.
|
|
Operation Medicine Drop - The Garland Police Department will be on hand to help citizens properly dispose of expired or unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
|
|
Recycle Electronics - Bring old computers, cell phones, and electronics to be recycled.
|
|
Flu Shots & Health Screenings - Flu shots are available for $20 (adults), $10 (children). More immunization information>> Take advantage of a wide variety of free health screenings.

Fun for the Kids! - Enjoy free crafts, games, and bounce houses.
|
|
Composting Class - This free class is from 8:45 to 11 a.m. at the Special Events Center for pre-registered participants only.
