Cost of permit is $113 regardless of job valuation ($90 plus a $23 processing fee).
When to Obtain the Permit
This permit is to be obtained when no General Contractor is on the job. When a General Contractor is on the job and has a permit, the electrician may contact our office at 972-205-2300 and validate the job assuming that the electrician is registered with the City.
Commercial Projects
Only a state-licensed electrical contractor may obtain a permit for electrical repairs for a non-residential (commercial) project. No exceptions.
